The advance reader copies (ARCS) of Breathings of the Moon are available now at NetGalley. NetGalley is a great service for readers looking for the latest new books at no cost, and is a fantastic resource for authors looking for reviews and feedback.

In Zoe’s quest to discover her mother’s killer, she discovers the most powerful memory she has is her own. And it’s all a lie.
With a touch, Zoe Underhill can share another person’s memory and she uses this strange talent to take on a new personality. It’s an ancestral ability she’s used to stay far away from her powerful grandfather and her New England hometown of Kingstowe.
But when the body of her mother is discovered twenty years after her disappearance, her brother makes her return home to use her memory talent to piece together their mother’s last day.
Every family member has a motive, and all their memories differ. But the biggest lie is the one Zoe is telling herself.
Why NetGalley?
I’m always hoping to connect with more readers who would enjoy my unique stories. NetGalley has a large group of reviewers, including booksellers and librarians so it helps my books get noticed by a lot of important people. Outreaching to libraries is one of my primary goals for my contemporary Magical Realism books.
NetGalley also monitors who gets the free downloads and if they review. They also do follow-up emails to those who have downloaded my book. This is all something I don’t have time to handle during a book release.
In the past, when I put some of my books on NetGalley (A Spell of Rowans, the first three Madame Chalamet books), all of them received more reviews then just reaching out to those on my newsletter list. You can read about my experiences and recommendations about NetGalley in a former blog post for those interested in the behind the scenes reasoning.
I’m not a member of NetGalley! How can I get a free ebook of Breathings of the Moon?
You can also request an ARC directly from me at this sign-up form. This link will expire once the book approaches the release date and all requests are screened before being approved.
I regularly give ARCS to those on my newsletter list so be sure you are a member by signing up here. Being a member also gives you 10% off of my bookstore.
When does the book launch?
Breathings of the Moon goes public on March 4 and you can pre-order now at these online booksellers. There will be an ebook, print paperback, and a hardback version.

Where can I post my review?
Before the book launches, you can post reviews at NetGalley, Goodreads, and Bookbub. When the book is live on March 4th, you can post your review at Amazon or your other favorite online bookstore.
I already have some reviews coming in now! The great thing about reviews is readers see things about the book that interested them – and that other readers might like. They can often provide a viewpoint of the book that others will like.
If you like my books, and want to see me flourish as an author, PLEASE REVIEW!

What’s special about Breathings of the Moon?
As a contemporary Magical Realism novel, the story takes our heroine, Zoe, back to her home town in New England where her family’s past has given the descendants odd powers. Zoe’s power is she can touch a person and experience the memory they are thinking about at the time. She uses this to create alternate personalities that she can hide behind.
She returns home when the body of her mother, who disappeared twenty years before, is finally found. Using her talent, Zoe wants to know what people in her family and the community remember about the day her mother vanished, hoping to solve the crime.
But the family legend and the actions of her ancestors all collide with her modern-day quest, putting herself and the survival of the Underhill family in peril.
To me this book is a standout due to complex family dynamics of people who are morally gray. Zoe has to decide if she will take back her life or will she continue to drift. Does she have the courage to face her past and that of her family’s?
It’s a book that I hope will touch your heart.
